August 2026: When is it time to stop working on a painting? Usually about half an hour before you do... in my experience.  Sometimes I get so wrapped up in the details and trying to make it perfect that I go too far.  That's when I spend the next session fixing what I did the last time.

If you are tired, stressed or unsure of what to do next...stop.  Take a break for a day, then come back at it with fresh eyes and perspective.
